You’re looking at a former functioning workaholic.
After 30 years of successfully climbing the corporate ladder, I was done working like a dog for things others told me I should want from my career.
I had acquired all the things - money, prestige, travel, recognition. I should note: I never wanted any of it (okay, the money part was nice!)
My career kept happening TO me…like I was on auto-pilot and just going along.
To be clear: I was excellent at all of my jobs, achieving results, setting organizations up for success with their talent, and receiving accolades. While I had all those external status symbols of success, I also acquired burnout, exhaustion, and resentment, and rarely had the time or energy to enjoy any of the “rewards.” Many times over the years I would ask myself: How do I get off this hamster wheel? And then I would give in to what OTHER people wanted for me.
After nine long months of deep reflection and acceptance of responsibility, I decided I didn’t want more, I wanted “different”. I wanted to have purpose in my work and to make a difference in other people’s lives, while simultaneously prioritizing a life of my own. So I enrolled in a professional coaching certification program, received not just one but TWO certifications (CPC and ACC) and started my coaching business.
If any of this sounds familiar - especially the “auto-pilot” and “what others want for you” pieces - you’re in the right place.
It takes effort, pro-active reflection, self-awareness, and a desire to work for what you want to get to a satisfying place in your career. Sure, there will be circumstances beyond your control including layoffs, mergers, acquisitions, and other crises.
So what can you control?
Your attitude, your drive to make choices that propel you forward, your willingness to get real about obstacles in your way, and putting in the hard work to find YOUR sweet spot of career success - not someone else’s vision of it.
And you need solid support to get there.
Once I stepped back from my own grind, I could see that so many professionals needed external support to be really deliberate and intentional in “What’s next?” with their career. As a career management coach, I work with successful, highly motivated mid-career professionals to navigate the path to their desired career status.
Here’s what I bring to the table:
Support in helping you define your career goals, and get clear about WHAT you want, WHY, and HOW to achieve it.
When you talk, I listen; in a safe space where you are able to talk openly.
The truth - time is valuable so we won’t waste it tip-toeing around issues; I’m respectful, but direct.
My expertise and knowledge from 30 years of coaching, developing and training others at all levels.
And we are also going to have some fun during our time together.
“Kristen’s approach enabled me to think systematically about what careers to explore and how; I realize now that it wasn’t as daunting or as scary as I thought.”

And now, the fun stuff about me…
I’m incredibly close to my family and friends.
True connections and loyal relationships are life’s most valuable gifts to me. I’m close to both my immediate and my extended Italian family (I have 20 first cousins; that’s not a typo) and I’ve had the same three best friends since 7th grade.
My one true love is the ocean.
And the sun and the sand and the salt water. It’s a big part of why my logo is an image of a wave. I live near it, and eat, sleep and drink the beach. I have a tattoo of the sun (named “Sunny.”) I love to be in the water, and I absolutely adore dolphins. Not only because they are ocean-dwellers, but because they are helpful, self aware, caregivers, and they are fun :-)
I’m an avid sports fan.
Especially the Boston Red Sox, the Buffalo Bills (sorry, New England Patriots), and all four tennis grand slams. I’ve attended the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, multiple baseball playoff games, and the US Tennis Open. And I’ve been to 10 major league baseball parks.
“Kristen offered tools for self-evaluation and helped me complete those tools to obtain a better vision for my career. This is something I could not have done without her guidance.”

“Kristen’s knowledge about the way employers look at candidates, her clarity of thought on building a personal brand, and overall candor on the best way to reach my goals was outstanding.”
